Verdampfer

Wärmetauscher Außenluft

Umweltenergie wird dem Verdampfer zugeführt. Dabei verdampft Kältemittel. Die Außenluft wird dabei heruntergekühlt.

Verflüssiger

Wärmetauscher Heizwasser 

Heißes Kältemittel wird dabei verflüssigt und unterkühlt. Energie geht an Heizwasser über.

Expansionsventil

Düse 

Starker Druckabfall an Düse; dadurch wird Kältemittel sehr kalt. Es kann wieder viel Umweltenergie aufnehmen

In short:

Source temperature as high as possible, discharge temperature as low as possible.

Background: Refrigerant (R290) requires different pressures at different target temperatures.
